Holiday Gift Swap with Schweppes Sparkling Water

This post has been sponsored by Schweppes®. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

Now that Halloween has come and gone, we are getting into the giving spirit over here at LMP! Our team, who is like a family, LOVES nothing more than giving unique, meaningful gifts, to each other over the holiday season. Almost every one of us celebrates a different winter holiday between Christmas and Hanukkah, making gift giving that much more special. Since our schedules are so full over the winter season, we celebrate the holidays early in our office spreading the joy for a longer amount of time.

Our key to a successful party is serving killer cocktails. We take great pride in the drinks that mix up always attempting a unique spin on old classics. For our holiday gift swap party we stationed a super fun bar cart with a couple of our favorite liquors and a variety of refreshing and delicious Schweppes® Sparkling Waters (see here for even more ways people are using them this holiday season!) for our team to mix in as they wish.

We find it easiest to go to our local Walmart when shopping for a party so we can pick up all the supplies that we need in one stop. We found 8-packs of Schweppes Lemon Lime and Black Cherry Sparkling Water which are now available at Walmart (plus two other flavors as well!) but these two, in particular, happen to be perfect flavors for the Holiday season!

We set out cold cans of the Schweppes® Sparkling Waters with glass carafes of gin and vodka, a variety of pretty glassware, and fresh cranberries and limes to garnish and compliment each drink with.

In case there was anyone who wanted to go straight for the Schweppes® Sparkling Water, we set out pretty paper straws for everyone to enjoy in their drink or a can. Of course no party is complete without something sweet. So we plated glittery cupcakes onto a white cake stand for our team to enjoy while opening gifts and sipping on sparkling cocktails.

Naturally, being the creative team that we are, we had some fun on the wall behind our couch to create a festive look for the holidays. Our team took some of the beautifully wrapped gifts and taped them to the wall. They got extra crafty with a DIY’d “JOY” sign made out of wire and twinkle lights.

With our presents wrapped and our ingredients ready, I mixed up everyone’s preferred cocktail and served them on a confetti filled “Cheers” tray. Then, we all sat on the couch, sipped, snacked and swapped our gifts.

The Fall and Holiday seasons are an extremely busy time for us, so it was so nice for everyone to relax and refresh for a few minutes. It also helped us all get into the Holiday spirit!

And now a gift for YOU! From November 15th through December 22nd, when you spend $10 or more on Schweppes® products at Walmart, upload your receipt to this microsite  and you will receive a free festive Schweppes scarf! How fun?!

Cheers, from all of us at LMP. Happy Gifting!

xx, Abby

A Parisian themed Bridal Shower

Hosted by the bride’s mother and soon-to-be mother in law, we celebrated a Parisian-inspired bridal shower lunch at a quaint restaurant in Toronto’s Distillery District. Cluny Bistro & Boulangerie is a venue fit for a chic event like this one. The room is decked out in vintage décor, art, and mirrors. The beautiful windows, lighting, and ceilings make the space charming and full of character.

Guests enjoyed a lovely three-course lunch. Guests could choose to start with either a tomato soup or Caesar salad. The main course was a choice between salmon or chicken. And finally, the sweetest course of all was a maraschino cherry tartlet, with vanilla and salted caramel ice cream.

This shower will filled with many traditional-game-loving guests, but we kept it simple and only played a few games that didn’t really involve much movement. Games were organized at each guests’ seat and they were simple and sweet. One of our favorites was He Said, She Said. The game card had a variety of different statements and guests had to guess who they thought said each – the bride or the groom! Another crowd pleaser was the Date Night Jar. Guests were able to write a fun date idea for the happy couple and place them in a jar for the bride and groom to use when they’re stuck for a date idea!

The dessert table was created with a two-tiered semi naked cake as the focal point. Also included on the sweet table was a variety of cookies and squares made for the taking. There were to-go containers ready for the ladies to pack up as many cookies as they could fit!

The lovely groom-to-be popped in at the end for a quick hello and flower drop off.

At the end of the party guests walked away with “thank you” succulents potted in gold sprayed terra cotta pots. It was the perfect send off to the most perfect shower.

DIY Glitter Balloon

Last week, we hosted a Garden Party Bridal Shower (post and video on that coming soon!) using our Little Miss Shower Party in a Box. In that box is one of our favorite script balloons, and we decided to glam it up for this event. It’s the easiest DIY ever and such a quick way to add a little sparkle to your decor.

We created this video with each of the steps. Watch and see just how easy it is!

You will need:
-A foil balloon, like our “love” balloon shown here.
Spray adhesive, which we found on Amazon.
-Iridescent craft glitter from Michael’s.

We can’t wait to see how you transform this DIY! Be sure to share your photos with us by tagging @littlemissparty on Instagram!

Love is in the Air and we are ready to Party!

There’s no holiday more cliche than Valentine’s Day. With all the pink, hearts, roses…there’s no doubt it’s all just a little cheesy. However, it’s also the perfect excuse to gather your loved ones and celebrate. I mean let’s be real…we are ALWAYS looking for an excuse to party around here!

When it comes to the lovey dovey part, my husband isn’t interested in throwing a party. He wants to enjoy a nice dinner just the two of us. So I use Valentine’s day as an excuse to gather my best girlfriends to sip on wine and catch up with each other.

With this in mind we designed a Valentine’s Day Party in a Box so you guys can do the same! We suggest a girls night in with wine + cheese OR invite your gals over for a nice brunch.  Either way, we’ve got all of your tableware and decor covered for this holiday of love!

For my Valentine’s Day party I wanted a cocktail party with food that I love to eat. Cheese cut into heart shapes with a cookie cutter, salami, grapes, nuts, crostini also cut into the shape of hearts and lastly mozzarella cheese + olives skewered onto the glitter lips that are in our Valentine’s Day party box. For a signature drink I mulled some red wine with cinnamon sticks, cloves and orange rind. For dessert, we will sip on Abby’s Red Wine Hot Chocolate. MMMMMMMM.

So let’s do this. Send your invites, devise your menu, shop the box and PARTY!
