DIY Glitter Balloon

Last week, we hosted a Garden Party Bridal Shower (post and video on that coming soon!) using our Little Miss Shower Party in a Box. In that box is one of our favorite script balloons, and we decided to glam it up for this event. It’s the easiest DIY ever and such a quick way to add a little sparkle to your decor.

We created this video with each of the steps. Watch and see just how easy it is!

You will need:
-A foil balloon, like our “love” balloon shown here.
Spray adhesive, which we found on Amazon.
-Iridescent craft glitter from Michael’s.

We can’t wait to see how you transform this DIY! Be sure to share your photos with us by tagging @littlemissparty on Instagram!

National Hot Dog Day

On any given night of the summer, the team at Little Miss Party sits down together (like a little family!) to eat dinner. As party stylists, there’s nothing we love more than an excuse to celebrate, especially when it involves food. Today is National Hot Dog Day and we took full advantage of it to make the cutest hot dog bar ever.

We set up our cart, diner stools, and ingredients by the pool.

I even made little flags for each topping! If you want to create them yourself, just use some black paper, metallic marker, wooden skewers, and double-sided tape.

Finally, it was time to fire up the grill, and get to topping!

Once we all had our baskets ready, we set the table…

and poured some rosé in our favorite shatterproof Party People cups!

All I have to say is there’s nothing quite like an old fashioned hot dog on a summer night. We highly recommend it!

Happy National Hot Dog Day!

A Beachy Bermuda Shandy with Narragansett

No matter what your cocktail preference, I’m sure you’d agree with me that there is nothing quite like sipping a cold beer on the beach. Our friends at Narragansett sent us a bunch of their beer a few weeks ago to sip on at Luke’s 5th birthday party and to mix up some cocktails with.

I decided to make my own version of a shandy using their Bermuda Style Pilsner, because not only is it delicious, but the can is absolutely beautiful… and SO Hamptons.

Here’s what you need:
Narragansett’s Bermuda Style Pilsner
-lemonade (fresh or store-bought, depending on how ambitious you are)
-whiskey
-fresh lemons
-fresh limes

Here’s what to do:
1) Slice up your lemons and limes.
2) Add 1 oz. whiskey to each cocktail glass.
3) On top of layer of whiskey, add one slice of lemon and 1 of lime.
4) Pour lemonade over lemon and lime slices, filling glass about halfway.

5) Top off each glass with beer, filling to the top.

Voila! Sip, and enjoy.  Maggie and I enjoyed this beauty while hanging on the beach in Westhampton one evening. It was the perfect end to a lovely summer day.

Until next week…

A Day in The Hamptons with LMP

If you’ve been following along on our Snapchat and Instagram stories, you’ve probably seen some of the fun spots we’ve been hitting in The Hamptons. For the team at Little Miss Party, the summer is a time to take advantage of the beautiful weather. We have team meetings in Seri’s backyard, host lunches on the deck, and use every chance we get to take beautiful pictures along the way. Last Wednesday, we were lucky enough to have a day set aside just for an adventure around The Hamptons.

First stop was Baron’s Cove in Sag Harbor for breakfast.

We were totally in love with the nautical decor, coffee, and traditional breakfast.

Oh, and the VIEW. What a stunning spot to enjoy a meal.

The bar and lobby area did not disappoint either! Every part of this place was picturesque.

We walked off breakfast along the water and moved into town to enjoy some of the adorable boutiques.

Of course, we couldn’t just have ONE coffee. We stopped for more at Grindstone Coffee & Donuts, and we did not regret it.

Eventually it was time for LUNCH.

So of course, this spot looked perfectly appealing. The Lobster Roll Restaurant is right on Montauk Highway and made for the perfect pitstop.

After filling up on fries and lobster rolls, it was time to head home. It was an amazing first week of summer in The Hamptons, and we can’t wait for more adventures to come!

Ice Cream Parlor Party

In honor of National Ice Cream Day this Sunday, July 16th, we decided to host our own Ice Cream Parlor Party. And what better spot to enjoy ice cream than under an umbrella by a pool in The Hamptons?! From sundaes to sprinkles, we ate it ALL.

First, we picked up our favorite ice cream flavors and set up our toppings bar. Seri has a new rolling cooler which was brilliant for us to fill with ice and store our ice cream in!

Our ice cream filled afternoon went something like this….

Scoop

Sprinkle
Sprinkle

Fan favorite here at Little Miss Party is the sugar cone. Have you ever really explored the Ice Cream section in your grocery store?  I often find the most fabulous selection of cones (sugar, waffle, bowls!) at mine so I picked up an assortment for our guests to choose their favorites.

Don’t forget the cherry on top!

You know what else Ice Cream works well with? SODA! How about an ice cream soda float? Ok! Yes please!

So what do we say for National Ice Cream Day? Bring it on and Hip Hip Hooray!
