Maybelline IT Girls in New York City

Sometimes, we have to pinch ourselves around here. Last year, we were honored to be part of executing a truly spectacular event for the Global Maybelline IT Girl influencers in, which was held the Hamptons thanks to the incredible team at AMP Agency who are the masterminds the whole program.

Last week… we got to do it all over again!  This time, the girls were in NYC for a week, and we were beyond excited when the team at AMP Agency asked us to be a part of the experience.

The events kicked off on Halloween in the penthouse at the Hotel Indigo on the Lower East Side. The incredible girls at AMP Agency directed us to meet the brand’s aesthetic and together we came up with a pretty fantastic layout for the events.

The girls at AMP worked with Brian Kaspr to create custom logos for the event. We worked these logos into decals, neon signage, and Maggie used the icons to create a custom designed art piece, which lived on the wall in the penthouse that acted as home base for the week.

We took every opportunity in the penthouse to incorporate branded decor pieces, such as the coffee table that you could look down on from the balcony above.

You know how much we love arranging flowers around here, so we were excited to include beautiful floral arrangements into the decor.  The color palette for this event was one of our absolute favorites. Specifically, for Halloween where we mixed millennial pink with deep red and green.

The other task we had was to find unique items for decor and make up display. We found these black python candle holders at Target, and I could just eat their heads they are so cute. The super chic cement vessels were from CB2. Since the gals at AMP Agency know how to style the make up best, they would walk around and place lipsticks, eyeshadows, mascaras and foundations in the most beautiful ways using all the gorgeous trays, containers and unique vessels that were styled throughout the penthouse.

We also had Confetti System make us these gorgeous custom iridescent fringe letter props. The girls used these in their photos in the penthouse and on the balcony with the panoramic NYC views.

We thought it would be fun to style some of the flowers into black skull candy jars giving an unexpected, spooky look to one of the make up station tables.

Now this is my favorite…
When we were pitching our ideas for decor we wanted to bring in the incredible Oh Joy for Target round barcart. Last year they had it in pink, but this year they made it in green, and the pink has been discontinued! We had initially thought we could buy the pink version for this event, and had already planned so much decor around it. When we made the  realization that it was no longer available, we had to think fast… so what did we do? We called on Crafty Maggie to paint the green cart and make it pink + black. Does it get more fabulous than this? I don’t think so!

The girls were due to arrive at the penthouse on Halloween night at 7pm. The sun was setting and the neon lights were glowing through the windows, and with all of our fabulous decor set up the space was party perfect.

When the girls arrived in the space they were welcomed with specialty cocktails made with dry ice – spooky and festive for Halloween night.

There was candy and make up styled all over the space available for the girls to experience first hand.

On the upstairs floor the girls were invited to get pampered with make up, hair styling, halloween accessories like headbands, cat ears, fangs and flower crowns that Natalie created custom for this event.

The day after Halloween, the Maybelline It Girls were back in the penthouse, which we had changed over to a feminine and modern space with florals, make up displays and comfy furniture for the girls to enjoy breakfast, pampering and lounging.

There were several activities planned for the girls while they were in the penthouse such as a lip lab where they had the opportunity to create their very own custom lipstick!  Also offered were Essie manicures, massages and hair blow outs.

There was beautiful and delicious food at all times, provided by the team at Mr. Purple, which is the hot spot bar and restaurant in the hotel.

The week’s events were a hit, the girls had a blast and we were so thrilled to be a part of the “dream team” behind the execution of it all.

xx, Maggie

A Potluck Friendsgiving

This post was sponsored by Del Monte®. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

As my friends and I reach our late twenties, our get-togethers are getting a little less rowdy and a bit more focused on spending quality time together. We are all starting our professional careers and are constantly busy, which makes it hard to keep updated on each others lives.

One of my favorite traditions that has started within the last few years is getting all of my friends together for a Friendsgiving feast. There is nothing better that gathering around a table full of good food and flowing wine with your best friends!

I find the easiest and most cost effective way to host a Friendsgiving dinner is to let each person bring a different dish. We are all still very budget-conscious and like to keep things quick and simple, which is why using Del Monte® canned vegetables to create delicious Holiday meals is an absolute no-brainer.

For this year’s LMP Friendsgiving, we served up a variety of simple and delicious dishes. I made turkey sandwiches with cranberry sauce & brie.

Maggie tossed up a colorful spinach salad with cranberries, walnuts, goat cheese and balsamic vinaigrette.

Natalie hit it out of the park with some homemade baked green bean fries, which she made using Del Monte® Whole Green Beans , with a sour cream & scallion dip. These fries were crispy & light, and we all remarked on how much we loved trying green beans in a new way!

Seri made a mashed potato, pumpkin and marshmallow casserole, topped with walnuts and drizzled with honey.

Natalie picked up a can of the Del Monte® Whole Green Beans at her local Walmart, and used other ingredients that she already had in her pantry to come up with this original recipe. Here is what she did:

Baked Green Bean Fries with Sour Cream & Scallion Dip

For the Fries:
– 1⁄2 cup of Italian style Breadcrumbs
– 3 tablespoons of grated parmesan
– 2 eggs
– can of Del Monte® Whole Green Beans
– salt & pepper to taste
– olive oil (for pan)

For the Dip:
– 2 tablespoons of spicy brown mustard
– Handful of chopped scallions
– 4 tablespoons of sour cream
– 1 tablespoon of lemon juice
– salt & pepper to taste
– *refrigerate for 30 minutes prior to serving*

1) Preheat oven to 400F
2) Drain liquid from can of green beans
3) Pat dry using a paper towel (this is important to get crispy fries!)
4) Place green beans into scrambled egg bowl (in small batches)
5) Place green beans in dry breadcrumb mixture (in small batches)
6) Place green beans individually on baking plan that has been greased with olive oil
7) Let bake for 20 minutes or until crispy

Maggie and Natalie set our Friendsgiving table beautifully, using indian corn, fresh greenery, and our DIY Studded Pumpkins. For the tableware, they chose plates and cutlery in fall colors, with gold accents set on a maroon tablecloth.

After we each helped ourselves to the delicious food served, we poured some prosecco garnished with fresh cranberries, clinked glasses and enjoyed a beautiful meal together.

Our Friendsgiving was absolutely perfect, and so easy thanks to Del Monte® and Walmart. Now, when you shop at Walmart for all of your Friendsgiving needs, you can save 50 cents when you purchase any Del Monte® product. You can get more info on how to claim your Ibotta rebate here valid 11/3-11/8.

From all of us at LMP, we wish you a Happy Friendsgiving!

xx, Abby

Love this idea! It IS so hard to get our friends together, especially during the holidays! I love that you all split the responsibilities even down to the tablesetting! Also, green bean fries with scallion dip?! Yum!!!

Vanity Fair Lingerie – Ambassador Summit

IMG_2182
We had the pleasure of once again working with the gals at Crossroads PR to design and style Vanity Fair Lingerie’s recent Ambassador Blogger Summit, held in their NYC showroom. Because we have worked at their showroom a few times before, we were familiar with the space and worked to transform it from corporate to gorgeous.
The front lobby was setup with this insanely amazing bar from Taylor Creative rentals, along with a few crisp white highboys paired with lucite stools. We wanted to make the space inviting and warm, so we laid down a few faux fur rugs and a neutral faux hide rug.
IMG_2298 IMG_2300
A small vignette was created using teal chairs along with lucite nesting tables and white and gold pillows as an accent.
IMG_2307
The bloggers would be arriving at 8am, so the food table was styled and ready to go. Using teal spray paint we transformed different shaped leaves into the most gorgeous backdrop using a few simple pieces of washi tape. Paired with the stark white table and the clean crisp wall behind, the backdrop was very impactful.  We also lined the back of the food table with clear bud vases, each containing a single stem.  Simple yet elegant.

We were super pumped to work with Poppy’s Catering for the first time, and they truly outdid themselves. Check out this spread!!

Not only was the food insanely gorgeous, but it was just as delicious. We sampled it all and couldn’t get enough!
IMG_2274
Did you ever think to use a paper towel holder to display and serve donuts? Love. Love. Love.
IMG_2272  IMG_2331
Now, back to that gold bar. We were a bit obsessed. We’ve rented a lot of bars over the years, and this one is by far the most gorgeous. It was literally a show stopper! On top of the bar we setout mini glass sodas, Pellegrino and a delicious pink lemonade.  IMG_2241
IMG_2379

Branded coffee sleeves and napkins were used at the bar and on the food table
IMG_2215

Once the bloggers bellies were full, they moved into the boardroom which was where they would be able to see all of the new product. We wanted to dress up this otherwise ugly wooden table, so we enlisted the help of Victoria Ahn and her team from Designs by Ahn, to create this simply stunning table runner.  Wow. Just Wow.
IMG_2154 IMG_2207 IMG_2176 IMG_2168
At each bloggers place setting was a branded water bottle and napkin.
IMG_2185
Seri and I wanted to dress up the cages with the new product so we stuck in additional flowers to tie into the gorgeous table runner. IMG_2187

IMG_2182
After learning what VF Lingerie has to offer, it was time to try on some bras! We created a fitting room using white pipe and drape and again turned to Taylor Creative for this modern lounge furniture. The gals had a blast all hanging in the Fitting Lounge, snacking on mini brownies and trail mix.
IMG_2235 IMG_2227 IMG_2218
Fruit and a few more sweets were served after everyone had a chance to be professionally fitted by a team of experts. Thank you to Treat House for the always delicious and appropriately branded mini rice crispy treats!
IMG_2124 IMG_2126 IMG_2448
Once the Bloggers were done at the VF Lingerie showroom, they were bused downtown to the offices of People Magazine, for lunch and another presentation. We worked with the amazing talent at Brooklyn Balloon Company to create an awesome setup. Could this be any more gorgeous? We absolutely LOVE the way it turned out.
IMG_2459 IMG_2432
The ladies were treated to another gorgeous food spread, which we helped to style with some fresh blooms.
IMG_2452 IMG_2450 IMG_2399 IMG_2408 IMG_2415 IMG_2416
It’s always such a pleasure working with the Crossroads team. It always validates that we absolutely love what we do! Thanks again ladies…until next time.

Kisses and Cocktails

DSC_0224

What do we really love around here? Snackin’ on chocolates and sipping on a cocktail. That usually happens around 3pm in our office…

DSC_0111

This winter season we’re using cocktail hour to have a little holiday gathering to celebrate the hard work we put in over the past 12 months and to toast the year ahead.

We were inspired by KISSES DELUXE Chocolates for our holiday party and used these sweet eats to #SayMore to the team here at Little Miss Party.

DSC_0155

We decorated our white tree with KISSES Chocolates and gift notes. What better way to thank your staff then by treating them to a spa day? Or taking them for lunch. Or giving them an extra day off! We are so proud of our team and the work they put forth in building our business and we cannot thank them enough.

For our holiday cocktail we’re serving eggnog topped with cinnamon and garnished with a KISSES Chocolate that we affixed to the rim of stem-less martini glasses by cutting a small slit in the bottom of each wrapped chocolate.

For some, we wrapped the KISSES DELUXE Chocolates gift set with festive paper and gave this mouth watering box of chocolates as a holiday present.

Ladies Night In with Spiked Mochaccinos

thumb_DSC_0089_1024

One of my favorite things about the cold weather, besides being able to wear sweaters and big fuzzy socks, is the excuse to stay inside and snuggle up. Don’t get me wrong, I love going out and being social, but sometimes after being out and about all day in New York City, you want to just go home and not have to deal with all of the people.  Know what I mean?

This is precisely why when Hills Bros.®  Cappuccino sent me their #CappTheNight Ladies Night In prize pack, I was SO EXCITED. I could not wait to open it up and check out all of the goodies that I could use to host the perfect night in with my favorite ladies.  When I did finally open it, I couldn’t believe all of the fun things that they included! In addition to three flavors of Hill Bros. Cappuccino Powder, the box had a deck of cards, a soothing face mask, some lemon butter cuticle cream, lip balm, gorgeous red nail polish, body lotion, fuzzy socks, gloves and a headband, and double mocha cappuccino K Cups. The perfect items for a night of pampering and relaxation!

thumb_DSC_0034_1024 copy

The Ladies Night In prize pack could not have arrived at a better time.  My best friend was coming to visit me from Boston for the weekend, and we needed a night in to catch up on life.  We decided to take advantage of the awesome stuff in the box, and to use the Hills Bros. Cappuccino powder to make some yummy winter cocktails!

thumb_DSC_0040_1024

After playing around a bit with the different flavor canisters of powdered mix that Hills Bros. sent me, I came up with a recipe for the Spiked French Vanilla Cinnamon Mochaccino.  Yep, it’s as delicious as it sounds.  I took a trip to my local Walmart to get all of the ingredients that I needed.  While browsing, I also found these awesome glass Irish coffee mugs, which were the perfect vessel to enjoy this new drink in!

thumb_DSC_0043_1024

Here’s what you’ll need:
-Canister of Hills Bros. French Vanilla Cappuccino Mix (available for purchase at your local Walmart or Walmart.com)
-Your favorite Powdered Hot cocoa mix
-Pinch of cinnamon
-2 oz of Kahlua
-Whipped cream

Here’s what to do:
1) Combine 2 tbsp of the Hills Bros. French Vanilla Cappuccino mix and 2 tbsp of your favorite hot chocolate mix in each mug

thumb_DSC_0049_1024
2) Sprinkle some cinnamon into each mug
3) Add 8 fl oz hot water to each mug
4) Stir until all powered mixture has been blended into hot water
5) Add 1 oz of Kahlua to each mug (Kahlua is optional)
6) Stir to mix

thumb_DSC_0055_1024 copy
7) Add whipped cream

thumb_DSC_0072_1024

And there you have it.  A warm, sweet, delicious beverage with a little extra kick to enjoy on your girls night in. And it was super easy to make! We styled our drinks in the glass Irish coffee mugs that I mentioned before, with our favorite antler drink stirrers.  For a fun little extra detail (and a tasty snack) we added mini cinnamon rolls to each of the stirrers. How cute is that?

thumb_DSC_0102_1024

We stuck the leftover cinnamon rolls on these stunning red and black plaid plates, which fit perfectly with our drinks on our rustic wooden serving tray.  Since we had the wooden trays as a smooth surface to put our drinks on, we stuck a fur rug underneath everything so some extra, cozy detail.  To add some color and height to the whole setup, we set up red and black paper cones.

thumb_DSC_0080_1024

We also kept a bowl of peppermint, cinnamon stick and chocolate handy, to add some extra flavor or garnish to our drinks.  We used some of our favorite bamboo straws, striped in festive red and green, for stirring when necessary!

thumb_DSC_0060_1024

With our cocktails in hand to sip, my friend and I got to work painting our nails, watching movies and playing cards! We had an absolute blast just relaxing after a day of walking around the city in the chilly weather.
